Materials 

Building materials, along with discarded products that deteriorate, corrode in which case the by-product becomes a medium. As an example RUST.

Assemblage is a large part of the process. Searching out materials on project sites or abandoned dwellings/commercial buildings. Finding such objects that can be either installed in the form they are found or ground and added to painting mediums. 

One of the most common supporting mediums is burlap. Burlap's history as material can be found in many uses surrounding horticulture, harvest and in the battle field as a major component of camouflage barrier/netting.  This history that involves  burlap in it's many uses made it an easy choice incorporating into my work.
